Six books listed, and the road goes on from there. Nineteen have been published and the serial that feeds them is still being written, so this is the front of a very long shelf rather than the whole of it. One wrinkle to know before you buy, because it trips people up: Harper Voyager relaunched the series in April 2026 and cut the first two volumes of the serial into four books, which are the first four here. From there the list continues into the author's own earlier editions, whose covers still carry the numbering they were given before the split, so the fifth book on this list calls itself Book Three. Ignore the numbers on the covers and read straight down this list. The story runs in order.

Where to start
New to the series? Begin with The Wandering Inn: Book One, Part One. It is a publication-order series, so book order is simply the order they were written, and the first book is the front door.
Erin Solstice steps out of Michigan and into a field of long grass under two moons, one pale blue and one pale yellow, with mountains on the horizon so vast their peaks vanish into cloud. She is not chosen, not summoned, not expected. She is hungry, and it is going to rain. She walks until she finds a two storey timber building standing alone on the highest hill for miles, roof sagging, shutters peeling, a board hanging by the door on a frayed rope with faded lettering she cannot read. She gets the door open. She sweeps the floor. She decides, for want of any better plan, to be an innkeeper.
Reading versus listening
Podium Audio publishes the audiobooks, and this is one of the great long audio commitments in the genre. Andrea Parsneau narrated the series from the first book in 2019 and is the voice most listeners mean when they say the audiobook; she stepped back in 2025 and Erin Bennett took over, chosen with Parsneau's help and her continuity notes.
